🍵 How to Brew the Perfect Herbal Tea
How to Brew the Perfect Herbal Tea
Brewing herbal tea is more than boiling water — it’s a small ritual that connects us to our roots. Here’s how to steep our wildcrafted Jamaican leaves for the best flavor and gentle healing.
1️⃣ Gather Your Herbs
Start with our fresh, dried leaves. Use about 5–7 leaves per cup, or 1–2 teaspoons for powders.
2️⃣ Rinse (if needed)
Gently rinse whole leaves under cool water to remove any natural dust.
3️⃣ Heat the Water
Bring fresh water to a light boil — about 200°F (just before a rolling boil).
4️⃣ Steep Slowly
Add your leaves to your cup or teapot. Pour the hot water over, cover, and let steep for 5–10 minutes — longer for a stronger brew.
5️⃣ Sip & Enjoy
Strain, pour into your favorite cup, and sip slowly. Sweeten with a bit of local honey if you like — but trust the leaves, too.
Brewing Tips
- For a stronger brew, steep longer or use more leaves.
- For iced tea, brew double strength and pour over ice.
- Try adding fresh ginger or mint for extra flavor.
Brewing your tea should feel calming, not complicated. Make it your moment of island peace, wherever you are.
